The Hollywood Sign is a challenge to get to. The new sign, erected in 1978 is protected by a fence and motion detectors. The drive to the gate is a maze of narrow, windy streets, oftentimes dead ending. One can opt to hike the strenuous 5 mile round-trip Brush Canyon Trail through Griffith Park. hmmm...what's the advice coming from the backseat?
