ON A CLEAR DAY


Atop Mount Hollywood, sits the Griffith Observatory, donated by Col. Griffith J. Griffith in 1896. On a clear day, one can view the Hollywood Sign, the Los Angeles Basin, which includes downtown LA, Hollywood and the Pacific Ocean. The observatory is a popular tourist attraction featuring a planetarium and an array of science and space related displays.
